Venice and the Jewels of Veneto Cruise Itinerary
DAY 1 – Venice (Embark)
Arrive at Venice Marco Polo International Airport. If you have arranged a Uniworld arrival transfer, you will be greeted by a Uniworld representative and transferred to the ship. Unpack, relax and enjoy your first evening onboard with Uniworld
DAY 2 – Venice
With your early morning arrival at Doge’s Palace, you’ll be able to marvel at the estate in total peace. Wander through a Venetian neighborhood and experience daily life in an authentic Venetian residential quarter. Later in the evening, cap the day off with a private once-in-a-lifetime experience at an after-hours lighting ceremony inside St. Mark’s Basilica without the crowds.
DAY 3 – Venice (Padua), Mazzorbo (Burano)
Start your morning in one of two UNESCO World Heritage cities in the Veneto, either Vicenza or Padua. In the afternoon, reboard your ship for a scenic sail across the lagoon as you head towards Mazzorbo and Burano.
In the evening, enjoy free time to stroll through Burano once the crowds have thinned, when its peaceful canals and colourful streets reveal a more magical side of the island. The brightly painted fishermen’s houses—shades of hot pink, chartreuse, orange, and lemon yellow—create an unforgettable scene that feels like a living artist’s canvas.
DAY 4 – Mazzorbo, Burano, Chioggia
Spend the day exploring the northern lagoon of Venice Lagoon and its enchanting islands. Begin with a guided visit to the famous basilica on Torcello alongside an art historian, before enjoying free time after lunch to wander through the quiet agricultural island of Mazzorbo and the colourful canals of Burano. Alternatively, spend your afternoon on Murano, watching skilled artisans at work as they craft the island’s world-famous glass.
DAY 5 – Chioggia
Today, you’ll discover the highlights of charming coastal Chioggia, often known as a smaller, more traditional alternative to Venice. Stroll through its atmospheric streets and canals, taking in the town’s authentic fishing heritage, before visiting the lively local market, where colourful stalls, fresh produce, and daily catches showcase Chioggia’s vibrant maritime culture at its best.
DAY 6 – Chioggia, Venice
This morning, join a sailing excursion to explore the scenic Po Delta, where the Po River meets the Adriatic Sea in a unique and ever-changing landscape of waterways and wetlands. Later, enjoy lunch on board as you sail back towards Venice, taking in the coastal scenery along the way.
DAY 7 – Venice
As your water taxi glides through narrow side canals and along the Grand Canal, you’ll arrive in style at the iconic Rialto Bridge. This famous stone arch spans the narrowest point of the canal and is lined with shops and restaurants, making it one of the most recognisable landmarks in Venice.
This evening, a special Captain’s Farewell Reception and Dinner will be prepared for you, marking a memorable end to your journey.
DAY 8 – Venice (Disembark)
Unfortunately, this is where your Venice journey comes to an end and you can start to plan your journey home.
