Tenerife Coast & Country Escorted Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Travel to Tenerife
Upon arrival in Tenerife, you will be met at the airport by our local representative and transferred by coach to your hotel.
Day 2 – Puerto de la Cruz
In the morning we recommend that you get your bearings with a leisurely stroll through Puerto de la Cruz, which has a great selection of bars, restaurants and cafes and is surrounded by several beaches. After lunch why not relax by the pool or take a stroll down the beach at Playa Jardin.
Day 3 – Santa Cruz & La Laguna
You will have a half day guided excursion to Santa Cruz, one of Spain’s busiest ports and joint capital of the Canary Islands, previously recognised by The Guardian as one of the best places to live globally.
We then travel to San Cristóbal de La Laguna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site admired for its well-preserved colonial architecture and unique grid street layout, which influenced many Latin American cities. Enjoy a leisurely walk through its charming plazas, historic churches and atmospheric streets before returning to the hotel in the afternoon.
Day 4 – Mount Teide
This morning, we set out on a guided tour to Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to Mount Teide, Spain’s highest peak. Known as one of the world’s most significant volcanic landscapes, the park offers dramatic scenery and is the most visited national park in Spain—an unforgettable highlight of Tenerife.
Please note: As it is a full day excursion, only breakfast and dinner are included in the hotel on this day.
Day 5 – At Leisure
Day 5 will be free to enjoy at your leisure. We recommend you take some time to explore the town of Puerto de la Cruz, which has an excellent range of cafes and bars. There are many other attractions outside the town centre, particularly the botanical gardens, which have a large range of tropical and subtropical trees, plants and flowers.
Day 6 – Tour of North West Tenerife
This morning we will leave for Icod de los Vinos, site of the ancient dragon tree and a symbol of Tenerife. Next we will take a walk through Garachico, once the main port of the island destroyed by a volcanic eruption in the 18th century, today considered one of the most beautiful towns in the Canary Islands.
Day 7 – At Leisure
On your final day you are free to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Why not take a walk to Puerto de la Cruz for some last-minute souvenirs, relax at the Lago Martiánez saltwater pools, or enjoy the lush beauty of the Botanical Gardens.
Day 8 – Return Home
