Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Dublin: Christian Heritage

Base: Dublin

Morning / Afternoon:

  • Arrival at Dublin Airport
  • Private transfer to hotel (20–30 min)
  • Light rest / orientation

Afternoon (2–5 PM)

  • Visit St Patrick’s Cathedral: Built in 1191, linked to Ireland’s patron saint.
  • Walk to Christ Church Cathedral: Viking-era origins, medieval crypt.

Evening

  • Opening Mass (optional: St Mary’s Pro Cathedral)
  • Group dinner + pilgrimage introduction

Day 2 – Glendalough: Silence & Monastic Life

Travel: Dublin to Glendalough (1hr 20 mins)

Morning:

  • Depart Dublin (8:30 AM)
  • Guided visits to: Round Tower, St. Kevin’s Church, Monastic ruins

Midday:

  • Outdoor Mass (weather permitting)
  • Picnic lunch

Afternoon:

  • Silent walk around Upper Lake (optional 3–5 km)

Travel: Knock to Croagh Patrick (1hr)

  • Transfer to Croagh Patrick
  • Begin climb (3–4 hrs round trip)

  • Prayer at base
  • Short walk + reflection

Afternoon:

  • Lunch in Westport
  • Visit local church

Evening:

  • Group sharing session

NOTES:

  • Bring hiking shoes, water, windproof gear

Day 5 – Clonmacnoise: Roots of Irish Christianity

Travel: Mayo to Clonmacnoise (2.5-3 hrs)
