Dive headfirst into adventure on this 8-night  Spain and Portugal Cruise with Royal Caribbean.

Embark on this amazing cruise from Southampton, where you can step back in time as you walk along the medieval town walls that date back to 1290. Here you can also visit Bargate, a medieval gatehouse built by the Normans in the 12th century. Your ship departs promptly at 5:00 pm, so plan to arrive at least 2-3 hours early to account for checking in and boarding protocols. During this time, many of the ship’s amenities are open and operating, so feel free to start your holiday early.

After a day at sea, our first stop will be Vigo, where you can soak in the beauty of its Bay as you ascend the Castro Fortress, offering fantastic views of the lush green mountains and the granite-walled 17th-century fortifications.

Next stop is Lisbon, Portugal’s capital, full of natural beauty, historic architecture, and culinary pleasures. Here you’ll walk between the captivating miradouros, a terrace viewpoints that are scattered on the hilltops, offering stunning vistas from the sea to the castles and beyond.

Your journey continues to A Coruna, in Galicia, known for its ancient Roman heritage and maritime history. Walk its Paseo Maritimo, an ocean-facing promenade that will take you past ocean views to the Cidade Vella, the city’s old town, full of remnants of the ancient and medieval past. Pop into the Aquarium Finesterre and say hi to the energetic seals that sun themselves on the outdoor terrace. Climb the hill to the Tower of Hercules, a Roman-era lighthouse that’s still in use today.

Next stop is Bilbao where you shouldn’t miss the impressive Guggenheim Museum. Follow the locals and hop from one pintxos bar to the next, sampling a variety of dishes; get swept up by Michelin-starred restaurants, enchanting tapas bars, sidrerias (cider houses) and a clever 100-year-old suspension bridge.
