Itinerary

Luxury Cruise from Athens to Venice Itinerary

Day 1 – Athens (Piraeus) Greece

A city of legend, civilization and enduring culture, Athens is a majestic and magical urban sprawl. Extraordinary elegance and grace combine with grit and graft in Greece’s capital, where highways encase ruins from antiquity, and gleaming museums and galleries stand beside concrete sprayed with edgy street art.

Day 2 – Gythion, Greece

The neo-classical houses on this harbour town are built on the slopes of Mount Kourmaros. Besides the ancient theatre and cultural museum, visitors can visit the local beaches. The harbour holds rich history as it was used by Spartans as their base. These include the cliffside city of Mistra, one of the finest surviving examples of Byzantine architecture in Greece, and ancient Spart.

Day 3 – Katakolon (Olympia), Greece

The spiritual home of the Olympic Games, Olympia has an enduring legacy, and its values echo around the world during humanity’s greatest sporting contest. The small port village, Katakolon, on the Peloponnese peninsula faces the Ionian Sea. Visit the museum and Olympia stadium, an archaeological site of immense ruins with an enduring legacy.

Day 4 – Day at Sea

Take a break from the packed schedule and enjoy a day at sea to unwind and relax. Explore the amenities such as the gym, spa, whale watching or simply take in the sun!

Day 5 – Kotor, Montenegro

Embedded into the slopes of the steep Lovćen mountain, and overlooking the deep blue Adriatic, the fortified town of Kotor boasts a spectacular, imposing staging that few can match. Under Venetian influence for four centuries, the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Site old town invites you to wander through the stone-clad streets, overlooking the terracotta roofs. Learn the city’s heritage in the maritime museum indulge in an afternoon meal.

Day 6 – Split, Croatia

Split is a city of romantic beauty, built around an extraordinary – still beating – historical heart. Head first to the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, where a hollow bell tower rockets up. Further out you’ll find the peace of Marion Hill – where you can climb to some of the best views in town. Nearby Trogir is another UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering a cozier, no less charming old town, and historic port.

Day 7 – Zadar, Croatia

Croatia’s Capital of Cool, Zadar is a dazzling mesh of influences and creativity. Visit the old town and the church of the St. Donatus built from stones pillaged from the Roman forum. Take a 10-minute stroll from the old town to Kolovare Beach or a day trip to Kornat National Park.

Day 8 – Fusina (Venice), Italy

This floating city of canals is a place of eternal beauty and enduring elegance. Navigate Venice’s waterways by romantic gondola, or on cruises along wide canal boulevards.
