Setting sail along the Moselle and Rhine, this river cruise will introduce you to Zurich’s small town charm, where historic and modern architecture mingle in the streets. You will explore the Old Town and the twin towers of the Grossmünster church, one of Zurich’s most iconic landmarks, as well as the clock tower of the St. Peter church. Continue to Breisach, a picturesque city between the Black Forest and the French Alsace; and then to Mannheim, situated in the Rhineland-Palatinate region of Germany, known for its idyllic natural environment, rural charm, and expansive vineyards.

Head to Rüdesheim, where you can immerse yourself in the vines with a refreshing walk, wind your way past the market square and up through the Weinlehrpfad, and pass several historic buildings and monuments.

After visiting the Moselle valley, you’ll travel to Trier, known for its stunning landmarks, UNESCO World Heritage Sites and architectural treasures. Here you’ll be able to see its Roman heritage and Gallic charm and decide to either stroll to the Imperial Baths and Porta Nigra or visit Luxembourg and its American War Cemetery and Memorial.

Finally, you’ll head to the astonishing city of Paris and visit the famous alleys of Montmartre and the grand Champs-Élysées.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Zurich

Arrive at Zurich Airport. If you have arranged a Uniworld arrival transfer, you will be greeted by a Uniworld representative and transferred to the Dolder Grand Hotel (or similar), which offers a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. And with its own funicular, private cars, and shuttle services, it’s as convenient a location for exploration as any in the city center.

Day 2 – Zurich

Visit Zurich, the city where historic and modern architecture are beautifully framed by a serene lake and the snow-capped peaks of the alps.
An Appenzell Mountain Experience is included in order to enhance your journey.

Day 3 – Zurich, Basel (Embark)

After breakfast, you will be assisted with the check-out process and transferred to the S.S. Audrey to start your cruise journey. You’ll explore Zurich Old Town with a local guide.

Day 4 – Breisach

Breisach is a picturesque city where you can enjoy a good glass of wine with the locals or opt for a biking path.

Day 5 – Mannheim 

The German Rhineland region is known for its rural charm and expansive vineyards. You can create an authentic connection to this beloved area by meeting an estate turning Palatinate winegrowing tradition on its head–where the vineyards produce grapes for specialty vinegar aperitifs. On  the other hand, you can visit a unique old flour mill, which has been transformed into a sanctuary by the owner, where you’ll find a fascinating collection of items from around the world and a gorgeous garden.

Day 6 – Rüdesheim

Rüdesheim is known for its beauty and its entertaining alley of shops and wine bars called the Drosselgasse.

Day 7 – Winningen

Winningen, a wine village, displays its history across charmingly medieval architecture and Romanesque streets. Here you can opt for either visit a peacful, laeside monastery or hike the along the Moselle.

Day 8 – Bernkastel

Explore Bernkastel’s streets and taverns on a walking tour or opt for a Moselle wine tasting.
The cruise package includes a Monastery Machem with concert.

Day 9 – Trier (Luxembourg)

Trier is one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites, thanks to its stunning cathedrals and beauty. You can choose to visit Trier’s Roman heritage and Gallic charm as you stroll to some of the city’s most notable spots. Alternatively, you can decide to visit the small neighboring country of Luxembourg and the expansive Luxembourg American War Cemetery and Memorial.

Day 10 – Trier (Disembark), Paris 

Disembark the ship and transfer to a 5-star hotel located in the city centre for the final days of your journey.

Day 11 – Paris 

Paris is the perfect blend of majesty and modern elegance.To enhance your journey a panoramic city tour with Seine cruise is included.

Day 12 – Paris

Check out of your hotel this morning. If you have arranged a Uniworld departure transfer, you’ll be taken to Charles de Gaulle Airport for your flight home.
