Norwegian Fjords Cruise from Southampton Itinerary

DAY 1 – Southampton

Step back in time and walk along the medieval town walls, parts of which date back to 1290. Visit Bargate, a medieval gatehouse built by Normans in the 12th century. Or venture out and explore the Hampshire countryside: Iconic Stonehenge is just a one-hour drive away.

DAY 2 – Bruges/ Zeebrugge (Brussels), Belgium

Often called the Venice of the North, the capital of Belgium’s West Flanders province is lined with canals, bridges and historic buildings. One of Europe’s best-preserved mediaeval towns, Bruges’ historic town centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Belgium cruises give you access to the lively market square and you’ll see the Belfry of Bruges, a popular piece of Middle Ages architecture.

DAY 3 – DAY AT SEA

DAY 4 – Olden, Norway

Explore the Jostedal Glacier and enjoy the natural wonder or you can head to Jostedalsbreen National Park and hike the blue ice yourself. At Olden’s location at the northern end of Oldedalen Valley, you’ll find an unexpectedly dramatic landscape dotted with valleys, waterfalls and mountains. Explore the town by foot, boat or bike, and head into a gallery to discover why Olden is an emerging centre for contemporary design.

DAY 5 – Molde, Norway

Home to world-class cultural offerings, the town comes alive during its annual international literature festival and the world-renowned Moldejazz festival. Hit Molde’s multitude of hiking and biking trails that offer views of the 222 mountain peaks visible from here. Molde’s Atlantic Road is one of the world’s most iconic drives and voted the Norwegian Construction of the Century.

DAY 6 – Haugesund, Norway

Viking Kings ruled until the 9th century when King Harald Fairhair united Norway into a single kingdom. Cruise to Haugesund and visit a Viking village replica in Avaldsnes to learn everything about Viking life.
