DAY 1-Cologne

The picturesque German city of Cologne is where we will embark on our Northern Rhine adventure! This city has plenty of memorable attractions and museums such as the Cologne Cathedral, Cologne Botanical Garden and the historic old town.

DAY 2- Willemstad

The former Dutch fortress of Willemstad is a tranquil little village with a delightful harbor. And of course, a typical dutch town like this can’t lack a windmill! During a walk through the quiet town you will surely discover one.

DAY 3- Ghent

We continue north along the Rhine towards Ghent, a city renowned for its stunning architecture, artistic heritage, scenic surroundings, and peaceful atmosphere. As the capital of East Flanders you will have the opportunity to explore its many highlights, from the baroque Saint Bavo’s Cathedral to the impressive Gravensteen castle, complete with its surrounding moat.

DAY 4- Vlissingen 

The seaside resort of Vlissingen is located directly by the sea and impresses with its beautiful beaches and long promenade. Here, you can relax and enjoy the maritime atmosphere in peace. The history of the region is presented through modern multimedia techniques at the “muZEEm” museum.

DAY 5- Brussels

Brussels is not only the capital of Belgium but also serves as the headquarters of the European Union. The city is filled with unique attractions, including the iconic Manneken Pis. While exploring, be sure to indulge in the wide range of delicious Belgian specialities such as the infamous chocolate on offer throughout the city.

DAY 6- Gorinchem

Welcome to the largest fortified town in the Netherlands. In Gorinchem, you don’t have to look far to find the town’s history, as the former fortifications have been preserved almost in their entirety. A special footpath now leads over the ramparts and promises wonderful vistas. On the ‘Langendijk’, Gorinchem’s most beautiful shopping street, you can experience a great mix of old and new, with modern shops in a historic setting.

DAY 7- Emmerich

The charming town of Emmerich on the lower part  of the Rhine offers a relaxing stop during your cruise. Take a leisurely stroll along the promenade and soak in the scenic views of the river, while admiring the striking suspension bridge known as the “Golden Gate of the Lower Rhine.”

DAY 8-Cologne

Unfortunately this is where our Northern Rhine journey will conclude and you can begin your journey home.
