MALTA ESCORTED TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1 – DEPART DUBLIN TO MALTA
Flight from Dublin to Malta. Meet our local representative and get transferred by coach from airport to hotel.
DAY 2 – MDINA, RABAT , TA’QALI CRAFTS VILLAGE AND MOSTA
Full day tour visiting Mdina, Rabat, Ta’Qali Crafts Village and Mosta including transportation, English speaking guide and entrances to: St. Paul’s Catacombs, Wignacourt Museum and St. Paul’s Grotto and Mosta Dome.
Stroll through the Silent City of Mdina, and its winding medieval streets lined with honey-colored palaces. Hear fascinating stories of noble families and the Knights of St. John, and pause at the bastions for sweeping panoramic views over Malta’s central plains.
Continue to nearby Rabat to visit the remarkable St. Paul’s Catacombs (3rd–8th centuries), along with the Wignacourt Museum and St. Paul’s Grotto. Discover underground Roman burial chambers, baroque art, the historic seminary, and WWII air-raid shelters.
Admire Mosta and it’s magnificent Mosta Rotunda, known as the “Church of the Assumption”. Inspired by Rome’s Pantheon, its impressive 39.6m unsupported dome is among the largest in the world. The church is famed for a WWII miracle when a bomb pierced the dome during Mass but failed to explode.
Experience Ta’ Qali Crafts Village, a former WWII airfield now home to traditional Maltese artisans creating glass, lace, pottery, and handcrafted jewellery.

DAY 3 – THE THREE CITIES
Half day tour visiting The Three Cities including transportation, English speaking guide and entrances to: Fort St. Angelo and Vittoriosa.
Discover Vittoriosa (Birgu), where you’ll stroll along the Knights’ bastions and explore the impressive Fort St. Angelo (entrance included). Overlooking the Grand Harbour, this stronghold played a pivotal role during the Great Siege of 1565, serving as the Knights of St. John’s main defensive headquarters against the Ottomans.
Continue to Senglea (Isla), relaxing at the peaceful gardens near the Our Lady of Victories Church for panoramic harbour views and a glimpse into Malta’s enduring maritime legacy.
The tour concludes in Cospicua (Bormla), where you’ll admire the impressive 18th-century fortifications and historic dockyard area that reflect the island’s rich naval heritage.

DAY 4 – FREE DAY

DAY 5 – GOZO & GGANTIJA TEMPLES
Prepare for a full day tour of Gozo visiting visiting Victoria, Xagħra and Dwejra including transportation, ferry tickets, and English speaking guide and entrance to Ggantija temples, one of the world’s oldest free-standing prehistoric monuments, set on the Xagħra plateau within an extraordinary archaeological landscape.
Continue to Ta’ Pinu Basilica (entrance included), an important pilgrimage site set amid peaceful countryside. Enjoy a photo stop at Gozo’s traditional salt pans along the northern coast, where centuries-old methods of sea salt harvesting are still practiced.
In Victoria, explore the historic Cittadella, wandering through its bastioned lanes and soaking in panoramic views across the island from its medieval heart. Admire verdant valleys in Xagħra and pause for photos overlooking Ramla Bay. You may also see the traditional Ta’ Kola Windmill.
At Dwejra, discover dramatic coastal scenery including the Inland Sea, Fungus Rock, and the striking Wied il-Mielaħ natural arch.
Conclude the tour in the picturesque seaside village of Xlendi, where cliff walks and a tranquil bay provide a perfect end to the day.

DAY 6 – FREE DAY

DAY 7 – VALLETTA
Prepare for a full day tour of Valletta including transportation and English speaking guide and entrances to: St. John’s Co-Cathedral and Grand Harbour Cruise in Traditional Maltese Dagħjsa.
Walk through Valletta’s historic streets, starting at the iconic Triton Fountain (photo stop) near the City Gate. Then, stroll along Republic Street, stopping at key landmarks including Republic Square, Castille Square, St George’s Square, and the beautiful Upper Barrakka Gardens for panoramic views over the Grand Harbour.
Visit the magnificent St John’s Co-Cathedral, renowned for its opulent Baroque interior and priceless masterpieces, including works by Caravaggio.
Enjoy a memorable harbour experience with a cruise through the Grand Harbour in a traditional Maltese dagħjsa, offering a unique perspective of Valletta’s imposing fortifications.
The tour includes time across the harbour in Vittoriosa (Birgu), with a walk through the atmospheric Old Town, including the main piazza, St Lawrence Church, and the historic Collachio quarter. A photo stop is also included near the Vittoriosa City Gate.
