DAY 1- Cologne
Here is where we embark on our exciting Rhine cruise. You should definitely get to know the city of Cologne with its many monuments and attractions. The best way to do this is to arrive one day before your cruise or simply extend your stay after the cruise.
DAY 2- Cochem
Cochem, on the bank of the Moselle, is another port of call on your Rhine cruise, which will take you onto the Moselle. The entire Moselle region around Cochem is a real sight to behold. The town’s landmark is undoubtedly the famous Reichsburg, a splendid castle that towers above the river.
DAY 3- Bernkastel-Kues
Experience the unforgettable atmosphere of a picturesque old town full of history and culture, as your Rhine cruise takes you along the Moselle. Enjoy award-winning wines from well-known sites – whether in one of the cosy wine bars, in a rustic wine tavern during a wine-tasting session with a winemaker, or during a tour of the steep vineyard slopes.
DAY 4- Koblenz
Discover Koblenz during your Rhine cruise. Its history dates back over 2,000 years, making it one of Germany’s oldest cities – and one of its most picturesque, with a wealth of sights and cultural attractions.
DAY 5- Frankfurt
Welcome to Goethe’s birthplace! Here’s another historical fact while we’re at it: this is where the first German national assembly met in 1848. Today, the metropolis on the Main is home to the headquarters of major banks and is also one of Germany’s most important centres of business and commerce. Frankfurt is also known for its many futuristic-looking high-rises.
DAY 6- Aschaffenburg
Aschaffenburg offers its visitors a wide range of experiences and sights. From historic buildings to idyllic nature parks, there is something for everyone to discover here. An absolute highlight is Johannisburg Castle – an imposing Renaissance palace. From its towers, you enjoy a breathtaking view over the old town and the River Main.
DAY 7- Mainz
Mainz is more than a carnival motto. It is an expression of the easy-going way of life that makes the locals proud of their city, makes it easy for non-locals to settle in and helps visitors to enjoy their stay here. With over 2,000 years of history, Mainz is not just one of the oldest cities in Germany – it is also a place where you can see history come alive wherever you turn.
DAY 8- Cologne
After an exciting cruise on the Rhine, you will be docking back in Cologne today and can continue your journey home.
