Day 1 – Travel to Madeira
Arrive in Funchal Madeira. Meet our local guide and transfer to hotel.
Day 2 – Visit Funchal
Morning at leisure: Stroll along the Lidos or unwind at the hotel and soak up Madeira’s mild climate.
Afternoon: Prepare for a half-day guided tour of Funchal, visiting the colourful local markets, exploring the beautiful botanical gardens, and finishing with a tasting of traditional Madeira wine at a local cellar before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 – Uncover Pico dos Barcelos Monte and Eira do Serrado
Explore more of the island’s stunning landscapes on a guided excursion.
Along the way, stop at the scenic viewpoints of Pico dos Barcelos and Eira do Serrado, where you can take in breathtaking panoramas of volcanic craters, dramatic valleys and rolling hills. The tour continues to the charming hilltop village of Monte before we return to the hotel.
After the tour, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 4 – Uncover Funchal at Leisure
Today is free for you to enjoy at your own pace.
Take a refreshing swim at one of the Lidos, stroll along the scenic promenades, browse the local shopping centre, or savour some regional delicacies.
Be sure to try a glass of traditional Poncha, the island’s famous blend of local liquor, honey and citrus.
Day 5 – Explore East of the Island and Pico do Arieiro
Discover the breath taking eastern side of the island on a full-day guided tour.
Visit the Pico do Arieiro, Madeira’s third-highest peak, where sweeping mountain views await.
Continue to the lush surroundings of Ribeiro Frio Natural Park and on to Santana, renowned for its traditional thatched cottages. Lunch is included.
Admire the Portela viewpoint to admire the dramatic Eagle’s Rock and stretches of the rugged north coast, before finishing at Ponta de São Lourenço, the island’s easternmost point.

Day 6 – Day at Leisure and Madeiran Dinner
Experience day at leisure and explore more of the beautiful island.
Indulge in a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Enjoy delicious regional cuisine accompanied by live entertainment as you celebrate your final night, before returning to the hotel.
Day 7 – Explore More of Funchal
Free to explore on your final day.
Revisit the stunning Madeira Botanical Garden, take in sweeping views from the Funchal Cable Car, or brave the famous Monte wicker toboggan rides.
