GALAPAGOS ISLANDS CRUISE ITINERARY
DAY 1: SAN CRISTOBAL, GALAPAGOS
Arrive in San Cristobal, the easternmost island of the Galapagos archipelago. After check-in and a brief orientation on the ship, take time to explore the town of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Discover its charm and visit the local Interpretation Center to learn about the islands’ history and wildlife. Enjoy your first meal on board and get ready for an exciting week ahead.
DAY 1: KICKER ROCK
In the afternoon, sail to Kicker Rock, an impressive volcanic formation rising from the ocean. Participate in snorkelling or diving excursions to observe diverse marine life, including sharks, rays, and turtles. Admire stunning cliffs and an array of seabirds, including blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds. Return to the ship for dinner and a restful night.
DAY 2: ISLA BARTOLOME AND BUCCANEER COVE
Begin your day at Isla Bartolome, famous for its Pinnacle Rock. Hike to the summit for panoramic views of the surrounding islands and clear blue waters. Enjoy snorkelling opportunities to see Galapagos penguins, sea lions, and colourful fish. In the afternoon, visit Buccaneer Cove on Santiago Island, once a hideout for pirates. Explore the coastline by kayak, discovering hidden caves and observing seabirds and marine life.
DAY 3: PUNTA VICENTE ROCA, BOLIVAR CANAL CRUISING AND PUNTA ESPINOZA
Arrive at Punta Vicente Roca on Isabela Island in the morning. Enjoy a kayak ride along the coast, where you can spot marine iguanas, sea turtles, and flightless cormorants. Snorkelling here offers the chance to see an incredible variety of marine species. Spend the afternoon cruising through the Bolivar Canal, keeping an eye out for whales and dolphins. Continue to Punta Espinoza on Fernandina Island, one of the most pristine islands in the archipelago, where you can observe large colonies of marine iguanas and sea lions.
DAY 4: TAGUS COVE AND ELIZABETH BAY
Explore Tagus Cove on Isabela Island in the morning. Hike up to Darwin Lake for stunning views and see graffiti dating back to whalers and pirates. Kayak or snorkel along the cliffs to observe penguins, pelicans, and marine life. In the afternoon, visit Elizabeth Bay, where a kayak ride will take you through mangroves teeming with wildlife. Spot sea turtles, rays, and a variety of birds, including the flightless cormorant.
DAY 5: POST OFFICE BAY, CHAMPION ISLET AND PUNTA CORMORANT
Begin your day at Post Office Bay on Floreana Island, where you can participate in the centuries-old tradition of sending postcards without postage. Snorkel at Champion Islet, known for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life. In the afternoon, visit Punta Cormorant, home to a lagoon with flamingos and a beach with green-tinted sand. Hike to see the diverse flora and fauna, and enjoy more snorkeling opportunities.
DAY 6: SANTA CRUZ HIGHLANDS AND FAUSTO LLERENA BREEDING CENTRE, PUERTO AYORA
Arrive at Santa Cruz Island and travel to the highlands. Explore the lush greenery and visit a giant tortoise reserve to see these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, visit the Charles Darwin Research Station and the Fausto Llerena Breeding Centre in Puerto Ayora. Learn about conservation efforts and see baby tortoises. Enjoy some free time in town to shop for souvenirs or relax at a café before returning to the ship.
DAY 7: CERRO DRAGON, ISLA GUY FAWKES AND BAHIA BOWDITCH
Start your day at Cerro Dragon on Santa Cruz Island, where a hike will take you through arid zones and a lagoon frequented by flamingos. Observe land iguanas and other native wildlife. In the afternoon, explore Isla Guy Fawkes, a group of small islets with excellent snorkelling spots. Discover the underwater world filled with colourful fish and possibly rays and sharks. Conclude your day at Bahia Bowditch, a secluded beach perfect for swimming and relaxing.
DAY 8: SAN CRISTOBAL, GALAPAGOS, ECUADOR AND RETURN FLIGHT
Your incredible journey comes to an end as you return to San Cristobal. After breakfast, disembark and take a final opportunity to explore the island. Visit the local markets or enjoy a last stroll along the waterfront before your transfer to the airport for your return flight, taking with you unforgettable memories of your Galapagos adventure.
