Douro, Porto and Salamanca River Cruise ITINERARY

DAY 1 – Porto

Arrive in the vibrant city of Porto, where you’ll board your ship and settle in before beginning your Douro River cruise.

DAY 2 – Pinhão

Cruise through the spectacular Douro Valley, passing terraced vineyards on your way to Pinhão. This afternoon, visit a traditional quinta to learn about local winemaking and enjoy a tasting of the region’s famous wines.

DAY 3 – Castelo Rodrigo

Spend a relaxing morning sailing before visiting the historic hilltop village of Castelo Rodrigo. Explore its medieval streets, ancient walls, and enjoy stunning views across the surrounding countryside.

DAY 4 – Salamanca or Almeida

Choose between a guided tour of Salamanca, including a traditional Flamenco show, or explore the beautifully preserved fortress town of Almeida on a guided excursion.

DAY 5 – Mateus Palace or Régua Douro Museum

After a scenic morning cruise, choose to visit the elegant Mateus Palace and its beautiful gardens or discover the history of the Douro wine region at the Douro Museum. This evening, enjoy dinner at the renowned Quinta da Pacheca.

DAY 6 – Lamego

Visit the historic town of Lamego and the magnificent Sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies. Later, enjoy a relaxing afternoon sailing before a special Chef’s Dinner and traditional Portuguese folk music performance onboard.

DAY 7 – Porto

Return to Porto for a guided city tour, exploring its historic streets and riverside charm. This afternoon, visit one of the city’s famous port wine cellars and enjoy a tasting of Portugal’s iconic fortified wine.

DAY 8 – Porto

After breakfast, bid farewell to the crew and disembark your ship before beginning your journey home.
