ITINERARY FOR ADRIATIC EXPLORER CRUISE

DAY 1:  Corfu Town, Corfu

Awash with colourful flowers, Corfu is big on beauty. It’s known as the Emerald Isle, and its golden beaches, lush green landscape and colourful villages will have you constantly reaching for your camera. Soak up the views at Bella Vista, Corfu’s most famous lookout point. From here, you can peer over sleepy seaside villages like Paleokastritsa, and the island’s entire west coast.

DAY 2 – AT SEA

DAY 3: Koper, Slovenia

Set along a wide horseshoe-shaped bay, Koper’s a Medieval town where old and new go hand-in-hand. Lose yourself in the maze of streets, passing historical sights and browsing chic shops along the way.

DAY 4:  Zadar, Croatia

Zadar doesn’t put age before beauty, it offers them both at the same time. This Dalmatian city on the Adriatic Coast is one of the oldest in Europe, and its timeline can be traced back more than 3,000 years. Having said that, it’s more than a little easy on the eye. The traffic-free streets are paved in pearly marble, its town houses are topped with red roofs, and the city is dotted with ancient Roman ruins and historical churches.

DAY 5:  Split, Croatia

Over the past few years, Split has been staking its claim on the city-break map of Europe. Right in the heart of the Dalmatia region, this heart-stealer of a city has got pavement cafés, plenty of history, and a confetti of islands sprinkled off its coast.

Navigate your way to the Cathedral of St Domnius, whose 13th-century oak doors depict scenes from Christ’s life, then delve into the shops and bars in the surrounding warren of lanes.
Take a trip to the waterfalls at Krka, where the cascades of white water cover a 2-mile area.

DAY 6: Kotor, Montenegro

For years, the travel-savvy have kept Montenegro under their sunhats. But now the cat’s creeping out of the bag – and it’s hardly surprising. A tiny republic in southeast Europe, the scenery here will have your jaw dropping to the floor the moment you arrive. Cruise passengers get the best vistas – as you sail in to port, you’ll be treated to wide-angle views of patent-shine lakes and green mountains.

DAY 7: Dubrovnik, Croatia

Ancient city walls. Higgledy-piggledy red rooftops. Cobbled streets worn by time. That’s Dubrovnik, a heart-stealing city that you just know you’re going to love the moment you arrive. Check out the 17th-century cathedral in the old town, with its striking gold and silver ruins.

DAY 8: Corfu Town, Corfu

Once you leave  the cruise ship, you will be picked up by coach and taken back to the airport.
