A guided tour of Vieux Nice, the Old Town, will introduce students to the historic side of this dazzling city in the Côte d’Azur and its most important landmarks. The market at Cours Saleya, the Promenade des Anglais and the port are three places not to be missed.
At the Musee D’Archeologie, located on a Roman archaeological site, students will be introduced to the city’s ancient history; while the Parc Phoenix botanical gardens and zoo is a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
Nice is also a city of culture and art, as many important artists spent time in the region. One of them was French painter Henry Matisse and The Matisse Museum in the Cimiez neighbourhood is home to the largest collection of his artwork. In fact, Nice has an impressive number of museums for its size: there are 15 museums in the city.
The Allianz Riviera Stadium and the National Sports Museum are a must-see for all sports fans visiting Nice.
From Nice, it is only a short train ride to Monaco where the group will visit its exquisite Oceanographic Museum and the Monaco Exotic Garden.
