The tour will start with a delicious dim sum dinner at a local restaurant, followed by a Kung fu show focusing on the history of the centuries-old Chinese martial arts.
Over three days, the students will explore some of the most iconic places in Beijing and China: they will travel the picturesque Hutong lanes of Beijing by rickshaw, learn how to make authentic Chinese dumplings with local families and visit incredible historic places.
This fascinating tour will also take them to the spectacular Great Wall of China and the UNESCO-listed Forbidden City palace complex, built in 1420 by the Ming Dynasty. Students will step back in time at the Sacred Way and the mausoleum tombs built by the Ming Emperors.
China is a country of contrasts where ancient traditions and customs coexist with modern architecture and technology. As well as the most important historic sights, the group will also have the opportunity to visit contemporary attractions such as the Olympic Park and the Beijing Zoo; and even get a Taichi lesson.
At the Peking Opera Show, they will even have a chance to go backstage to witness make up and costume preparations before the show. This school trip to China will be one to remember.
