MUSICAL SALZBURG SCHOOL TRIP ITINERARY

DAY 1: LAKE KONIGSSEE

The group will take a morning flight to Munich, where they will be picked up by our team and travel by private coach to Salzburg.

On the way to Salzburg, we have scheduled a stop for lunch as well as a boat ride on the stunning Lake Königssee in the Berchtesgaden National Park, one of Germany’s most beautiful lakes.

DAY 2 : THE SOUND OF MUSIC

Today, the group will embark on a musical journey as they visit all the most important filming locations of The Sound of Music, the 1960s Hollywood classic set in Salzburg and the Austria Alps.

After the Sound of Music tour, the students will enjoy some free time to explore the Old Town in Salzburg.

DAY 3: HALLEIN SALT MINE

A visit to the fascinating Hallein Salt Mine will introduce students to the value of salt, once known as white gold, and how important salt trade was responsible for the region’s wealth.

The mine is one of the oldest in the world and the group will have the opportunity to join the subterranean classroom and the Celtic museum’s bone lab, depending on availability.

In the afternoon they will enjoy some free time to explore Salzburg Old Town.

DAY 4: WALKING TOUR OF SALZBURG

On your last day in Salzburg, we have organised a guided walking tour of this charming city. In the afternoon, the group will travel back to Munich airport for their return flight home.
