In Rome, they will get to explore its spectacular historic monuments, including the Colosseum amphitheatre and the Roman Forum, once the heart of Ancient Rome.
This school trip also takes students to Vatican city, cradle of Catholic faith; where they will admire the Renaissance masterpiece that is Saint Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel, home to Michaelangelo’s famous Last Judgement frescoes.
As well as learning, students will also enjoy the roller coasters of Rainbow Magicland Theme Park and test their cooking skills with an authentic Napoletana pizza making class.
One of the highlights of the trip is the fascinating Pompeii archaeological park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important historic sites in Italy.
This ancient Roman city was buried with ash and volcanic debris in 79 AD after a devastating eruption of nearby Mount Vesuvius. The archaeological park gives visitors an extraordinary picture of daily life in Ancient Rome, as buildings, artefacts and skeletons remained intact under the layer of volcanic ash for hundreds of years.
