This school tour takes the group to Malaga, Seville, Granada and Cordoba, to discover the fascinating history, art and culture of the Andalucia region, shaped by the fusion of Jewish, Muslim and Christian traditions for hundreds of years.

In Cordoba, students will explore the magnificent Old Town and marvel at the rich Roman and Muslim heritage and architecture, visiting the city’s most iconic monuments such as the Roman bridge, the Alcazar and its impressive Great Mosque.

A vibrant city of art and culture, Granada will captivate students with its charming cobbled streets and edgy street art, in its medieval old town. The magnificent Alhambra fortress palace will be one of the highlights of the tour.

The students will also get to spend a day in Seville, admiring the grand buildings of Spain’s Golden Age when Andalucia’s elegant capital was one of the wealthiest cities in the world.

Itinerary

The Classic Andalucia School Trip generally includes the following:

CLASSIC ANDALUCIA SCHOOL TRIP ITINERARY

DAY 1 – MALAGA

Today, the group will fly to Malaga where they will be met by our local representative and enjoy some free time to explore the city’s old town.

DAY 2 – MALAGA OR DAY TRIP TO SEVILLE

Today the students can enjoy a free day in Malaga and relax by the sea or take a day tour to Seville visiting its majestic Golden Age buildings and monuments. For lunch we have organised tapas tasting so the group can sample the local cuisine and learn about Andalucian and Spanish gastronomy.

DAY 3 – GRANADA

Today the group will travel to Granada at the foot of Sierra Nevada, where they will visit the magnificent Alhambra fortress palace, a superb UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 9th century and royal residence of the Nasrid Dynasty in the Middle Ages. After the tour, they will travel to Cordoba where they will stay for the next couple of nights.

DAY 4 – CORDOBA

Today it is time to explore the cobbled streets of Cordoba on a fascinating guided tour of the UNESCO listed Old Town. The tour includes a visit to the beautiful Great Mosque Cathedral of Cordoba, one of the finest examples of Islamic architecture, built at a time where different cultures faiths and communities lived harmoniously side by side.

DAY 5 – MALAGA AIRPORT

On the last day, the group will have some free time in Malaga before travelling back to the airport for the flight home.
