With 10 markets to explore including the Cologne Cathedral Christmas Market, Heinzels Wintermärchen at Heumarkt, Nicholas’ Village Christmas Market and the Harbour Christmas Market you might find that you’re happy to stay in Cologne for the rest of the trip. However, if you would like to explore further afield, Bonn also has a beautiful Christmas market in its town centre. The train from Cologne to Bonn takes as little as 20 minutes and costs less than €10 each way. Koblenz also has some very nice markets, and is a little further away, taking around 1 hour 20 by train and costing around €13 each way.
